Welcome to the Catherine Dior School, a Humanities-based school for children ages two through twelve and young adults ages thirteen through nineteen.
We are a learner-centered school.
We focus on teacher-supported home education utilizing the French school divisions.
Curriculum is individualized to meet each student's unique goals and needs.
Parents teach their own children or arrange for a tutor in their locale.
Highly qualified teachers are available for consultation as needed.
We welcome members of all faiths.
Most of our students are Jewish or Righteous Gentiles.
The Tanach (Hebrew Scriptures) is read and studied as part of the curriculum.
The study of Hebrew is offered and recommended but not required.

Catherine Dior was an ordinary young woman until she did an extraordinary thing: she joined the French Resistance during World War II. She was arrested by the Nazis in Paris and sent to Ravensbruck. Miraculously, she survived. Catherine was never able to be a mother, but she loved children and valued education.
Please reach us at Dior.School@proton.me if you cannot find an answer to your question.
A Righteous Gentile is a person who lives her or his life in obedience to the Seven Laws that G'd gives to all people in Genesis, chapters one through nine, in the Torah.
École Maternelle
You may begin your child's education as early as age two; however, it is recommended to delay the commencement of formal education until age four or later.
During École Maternelle, children spend their days playing and learning. Fun activities teaching love of G'd, reading, sharing, and the natural world are emphasized. The inclusion of an international language is encouraged but not required.
When children are ready, they transfer to the next division for more formal studies.
École Élèmentaire
Through a Humanities-based program tailored to your student's needs, he or she learns the basics of Faith, Literature and Art Appreciation, Thoughtful Writing, Numbers, and Science. The inclusion of an international language is recommended but not required.
As a general rule, children ages seven or eight to twelve are prepared for work at this level.
Everything is individualized to the child's needs, not a cookie-cutter determination based on what is deemed appropriate for this or that grade.
Collège
Student ages twelve up to nineteen are served in this division. The inclusion of an international language is required. In addition to the usual subjects and engaging electives, preparation for independent adulthood is taught.
At age sixteen, students who are planning for direct entry to a four-year tertiary institution will transfer to Lycée for preparation.
At the completion of their studies, whether at age sixteen or above, students will have finished the requirements for a Diploma or a Certificate of Achievement, depending on their goals.
Students who do not go on to Lycée should be prepared for the General Educational Development Test (GED), for O-levels, for entry into a Community College, for entry into a vocational or trade program, or for a beginning workforce position.
Lycée
Lycée is for students ages sixteen and over who are planning to enter a University and who wish to compete in Advanced Testing, such as A-levels, the Advanced Placement program, or the International Baccalaureate.
Advanced continued student of the international language chosen during Collège or the study of a second international language is required.
We suggest that you consult with your student's personal physician for her or his recommendations regarding immunization. We never meet in person for instruction; as such, we are not required, at this time, to collect your student's immunization information.
